30,000 year-old figurine scanned and printed in 3D

Fuel3D, a developer of customized 3D imaging solutions, announced today that its SCANIFY 3D scanner was used to recreate an ancient statue for an unique exhibition at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium.

In collaboration with the Louvre Museum, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium is currently hosting an exhibit entitled “2050 – a brief history of the future”. As part of the exhibition, the museum needed to demo a 3D-printed replica of Galgenberg of the Venus and worked with Belgian and Fuel3D 3D print firm, Trideus to make this a reality.
