Heroes of 3D Printing – Educator Josh Ajima Brings 3D Printed Art to the Gumball Machine

Josh Ajima is 3D printing evangelist and a teacher, about making in the classroom and through his Design Make Teach sites, he blogs. He is the Technology Resource Teacher for the Loudoun Academy of Science and Dominion High School. Ajima earned his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Virginia, and since that time he’s s educated 8th grade physical science, high school chemistry, 7th grade life science, and Cisco Networking. Ajima educated at Dominion High School and also serverd for Clarke County Public Schools as the Director of Instructional Technology.

Back in 2012, he helped plan a TEDx event targeted at getting a 3D printer for his school, but when that attempt fell through, Ajima bought a 3D printer for his pupils in northern Virginia from his private funds.

Included in his overall vision for bringing people 3D print, Ajima unveiled The Incredible 3D Printing Gumball Gallery in the Virginia Society for Technology in Education Conference.
