How NASA ‘Emailed’ A Wrench Into Space

What happens when you’re in outer space and you suddenly desire something you don’t have? It’s not like UPS makes regular trips to the International Space Station.

Typically, astronauts could need to wait up to several months for a tool that is unique to be delivered up to the ISS. But thanks to 3D printing, astronauts no further need to wait.

Made In Space, a California firm designed and constructed the 3D printer.
