MakerBot Expands 3D Printer Distribution and Sales to South Africa

MakerBot, a world-wide leader in desktop computer 3D printing, is excited to announce the expansion of its own international footprint to the African continent together with the addition of Rectron South Africa as its first supply partner in Africa. Rectron is one of consumer electronics vendors and South Africa’s leading ICT.

Beneath the agreement, Rectron will distribute all MakerBot® products, including the latest generation of 3D printers: the award winning MakerBot Replicator® Desktop Computer 3D Printer, the MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer, and the MakerBot Replicator Z18 3D Printer using its enormous construct quantity and the best price/functionality in the extra-large professional 3D printer category. MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers are powered by the user friendly MakerBot Replicator 3D Printing Platform, which offers an onboard camera, plug and play features, program- and cloud-enabled workflow, and available Wifi connectivity. Rectron will also spread the MakerBot Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer, the MakerBot Digitizer™ Desktop 3D Scanner, and MakerBot Filaments and accessories.
