The Micro 3d Printer Storms Kickstarter For Home Use

M3D co-founders Michael Armaniand David Jones have created the Micro, and  claim “it is the most affordable 3D printer that can be used right out of the box.”

With an early bird pledge offer of $199, they are very serious about their product, and even the usual price of $299 is an affordable one for a printer of such good quality. Ideal for beginners and experts alike, all users need to do is plug it in, download or create a model, press print and away it goes!

A sensor built into the print head that feeds data back allows the Micro can automatically level and calibrate. This is great for the user, avoiding an otherwise time-consuming process.

PLA and ABS can be used in the Micro, as well Micro’s own filament spools available as part of certain pledges, or from their website market place. The Micro filament spools sit inside the printer when in use, but there is an external filament access port on top of the extruder, if you choose to use PLA or ABS etc.
