Kickstarter: The Micro 3D Printer Storms For Home Use

Startup M3D hopes to change the idea that although 3D printing might be the way of the future, it’s a comparatively expensive one, starting with its compact The Micro model. Its Kickstarter campaign quadrupled its $50,000 target in under an hour (eleven minutes to be precise), with the Micro printer scaled to produce custom items such as jewellery and toys, as well as other small objects.  It connects to Windows, Mac or Linux via USB.

M3D’s Micro printer will support open-source software and  a variety of printing materials, such as ABS, nylon, chameleon and PLA, up to 1.75mm; and M3D will also be selling its unique spools of micro-filament.
